Make QR’s QR scanner works in a desktop browser. You can use a webcam, paste a screenshot, or upload an image file — useful when the code is on another monitor or in a PDF.
- Camera — allow permission, point the webcam at the printed or on-screen code.
- Paste — capture the screen (PrtSc / screenshot tool), click the paste zone, then press Ctrl+V (Windows/Linux) or ⌘+V (Mac).
- Upload — choose a PNG or JPG that contains the QR code.
Fix common permission issues
- If the camera stays blank, check the site permission icon in the address bar and allow access.
- Close other apps that lock the webcam (Zoom, Teams, OBS).
- Use HTTPS or localhost; some browsers block camera on insecure contexts.
After you get a result
Copy the decoded text from the result box. URLs can be opened carefully after you verify the domain. WiFi and contact payloads can be copied into your phone settings if the desktop OS does not act on them automatically.
