Why logos need higher error correction

Covering the center of a QR code removes data modules. Higher error correction (Quartile or High) adds redundancy so scanners can recover the missing pieces.

Steps in Make QR

  1. Open the generator and enter your URL or text.
  2. Open Design & colors and upload a PNG, JPG or SVG logo.
  3. Confirm error correction moves to a higher level when a logo is present.
  4. Keep the logo small — roughly under 20% of the code area.
  5. Download and test on a phone before printing.
