Create QR with logo →Why logos need higher error correction
Covering the center of a QR code removes data modules. Higher error correction (Quartile or High) adds redundancy so scanners can recover the missing pieces.
Steps in Make QR
- Open the generator and enter your URL or text.
- Open Design & colors and upload a PNG, JPG or SVG logo.
- Confirm error correction moves to a higher level when a logo is present.
- Keep the logo small — roughly under 20% of the code area.
- Download and test on a phone before printing.
Design rules that protect scans
- Prefer a simple logo with transparent or light padding.
- Do not cover the three large corner finder patterns.
- Keep dark modules on a light background even with brand colors.
- For tiny stickers, skip the logo and use color/frame branding instead.
